Legal dating limit
Florida Age of Majority The age of majority in Florida is 18.
Those convicted of using a gun while committing a violent crime such as attempted murder, aggravated sexual assault and kidnapping will be automatically sentenced to five years for a first offence and seven years for a second offence.
As well, those accused of gun crimes will find it tougher to get bail.
However, it is not an offence if the person honestly believed you were 18 or older.
As well as the age limits, the law says that two people can’t have sex unless they both agree (consent).
Sex can be complicated by people taking and sending digital pictures or video.
If this is of someone who is or appears to be a minor (under 18) it can be child pornography if the picture depicts sexual behaviour or is in an indecent context.
Almost all states, including Florida, have zero tolerance alcohol laws, for minors caught driving with alcohol in their system.
This means that people under 21 get an automatic DUI if they have any alcohol in them, regardless of what the DUI blood alcohol content is for adults 21 and over.
Some of those include the right to vote, and getting a driver's license without parental permission.
Turning 18 also comes with responsibilities, like the ability to be sued in court, and serving on a jury.
If you don’t agree and someone threatens you or touches you sexually they are breaking the law.Tags: Adult Dating, affair dating, sex dating
